I haven’t been following the tour this year, but it seems like there is ALWAYS some camera bike interference, or spectator interference or some outside influence that changes the standings on at least one climb.

They were asking for it really: due to extreme winds (100-140 kmh) at the top of Ventoux, they shortened the stage to just before the end of the tree line. This caused all those spectators to bunch up, with even more chaos than usual as a result.

To make it even more ridiculous: there’s allegedly a rule that prevents riders to run without their bike, so Froome could be penalized as well.

I'm really impressed that he only ended up 1 min down in the GC overall. I bet the judges just wash their hands of it and let the next stage sort it out. He'll just have to perform in the TT and see where he gets to.
